Sure it wasn't continuous action, but the blend of dialogue, action, and flashbacks (those goddamn transitions man!) made it feel like it went by in a flash, something Gintama does so well in their battles. Not to mention it was an absolute mindfuck of a battle, as it was really Gintoki + Takasugi vs Utsuro. Not just Gintoki.
